This is King Ludwig II. He was the one who built this castle as a fairy tale getaway. 
We were not allowed to take photos inside the castle. The tour was about 35 minutes. Only 1/3 of the castle was completed, so these are the rooms we walked through. I did not take these photos. Here are a few shots I acquired of the interior...
