On Saturday we went on a road trip to Bern, Switzerland. This is just a little sample of scenery through the country side of south west Germany.
If you notice there is actually solar panels on most of the housing, even in the rural areas.
Heck, we saw a lot of funny looking cars on the road, but this airplane was being towed by a car no bigger than a roller skate!
Augustiner Bräu München

Yes, yes chug that giant beer, Marc!
In order to double fist your beer, I suggest an extensive training regiment, Hans over here agrees!
Actually this guy was not happy I took his pic, but I thought what the hell, he looks half unconsious anyway, and you have to be pretty drunk to prance around in your lederhosen , and snooze in your beer, so why not. Just as i pointed the camera at him he put up his hand in protest, and probably yelled profanities at me in German. I didn't care because i am coated in 2 litres of beer teflon. HA HA!!
Hofbrauhaus-Part 1
2 comments Published by Beth in MunichWell we started our night in Land of the Giant Beers!! The Hofbrauhaus!! Each beer is 1 litre, I think i can honestly say that is the largest drink I was ever served at a restaurant. For being a tourist trap, the food was excellent, The band was oomph-ing along, and there was a nice mix of locals, and tourists. The cool part was that many tables of young Germans were chanting and cheering on their local fussball team (thats soccer for you Yankees). It seemed like everyone was having a grand 'ol time! Many people were dancing a little jig to the pickled band.
Well the the first pic is for all of you toilet humor people. There is always plenty of room for fart jokes!(Ausfahrt means exit).
The second pic is the view from our room of the Alps to our south. about 40 or so miles away. We are living in west Munich, in a suburb called Pasing. It is only a 10 min train ride to Marionplatz, the central downtown area of Munich.
